As a resident of our UWA and Curtin campuses, you receive free access to Bloom’s events, programs and resources, connecting you to Western Australia’s youth innovation community. Whether you want to start a business or build leadership skills, Bloom will give you the tools to grow.
Elevating young innovators

Rohan Hammond At 19, Rohan founded Amalfi Media, a creative agency helping brands grow through visual storytelling. A third-year College resident studying for a Bachelor of Psychology at UWA, he completed Bloom’s Launchpad and Orbit, generating $23,000 in 12 weeks.

Ella Judge Ella, a College alumna and UWA graduate, helped lead Bloom’s programs, guiding Perth Modern students in self-awareness, goal setting and credibility. With a focus on entrepreneurship, she supported students in creating Minimum Viable Products and pitch presentations, helping them grow in confidence and capability.

Oliver Mowbray Oliver, a College resident and Curtin University graduate student, founded Lichen Commodities to develop cloud-based tools for natural hydrogen. His 3D geological modelling has attracted CSIRO collaborations. A finalist for the Excellence in Resources Award, he recently represented Western Australia at the 2025 Global Resources Innovation Expo.

Join the Bloom x St Cat’s Club and take the first step on your start up journey. You will gain access to experienced mentors, a vibrant community of like-minded peers and a dedicated space to explore your ideas. Whether you are ready to launch or just starting out, this is where entrepreneurial thinking begins.

$52,000 in revenue. 26 start up founders. 12 weeks.
Launchpad is a 12-week program that lets you develop a business idea and get academic credit towards your university degree. Launchpad provides students with an academic structure that encourages and supports entrepreneurial activity. Accepted students also have the opportunity to pitch their business idea to investors and the public at end of the semester.

For technical founders ready to build
LaunchLAB is a 10 week intensive course for aspiring founders who can code and are ready to take their AI powered product from concept to launch. You will validate your idea with real users, refine your MVP, and get it launch ready, all while building alongside other driven, technical creators.

Shine is a series of mini leadership courses designed to help you develop core transferable skills for innovative leadership. Focused on personal growth, the program teaches self-management, goal-setting through OKRs and essential skills like time management and communication to enhance your leadership abilities.

In 2014, with generous support from the Malka Foundation and Lotterywest, St Catherine’s College opened the refurbished Bloom Innovation Hub at our UWA campus. This dynamic space is powered by the College and is home to Bloom’s vibrant community of young innovators.

Bloom, St Catherine’s Centre for Youth Innovation, now has vibrant coworking spaces and skill-building programs at our Curtin campus. Located at the heart of Curtin University, Bloom offers young innovators a supportive entrepreneurial hub with workshops, mentorship, industry-led events and dedicated office space.
