Uluru Statement Dinner

In 2023, all eligible voters were required to participate in The Voice referendum to decide whether Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples would have an independent advisory body that could make representations to the Australian Parliament and Executive Government on matters relating to their communities.

To help our community understand the significance of this decision, we hosted a dinner and interactive discussion featuring keynote speaker, Former Minister for Indigenous Australians, Hon Ken Wyatt AM. The evening also included a panel discussion representing both the Yes and No perspectives, with contributions from Professor Pat Dudgeon, Megan Krakouer and Jeremy Yarran-Smith.
